The Iowa Conference coaches have voted and three members of the Luther College women's basketball team have been recognized on the 2017 all-conference team.
Katie Waller was one of seven players from the league named first-team all-conference. Waller led the Norse in scoring this year with 355 points for an average of 13.1 points per game. She shot 39.6% that included a team best 39.1% from behind the three-point line.
Anna Madrigal was recognized as a second-team honoree. Madrigal finished with 313 points for the year for an average of 11.6 points per game. She led the team with 60 three-point baskets, one shy of her single season school record. She shot 35.6% that included a 36.4% effort from behind the arch.
Laura Hamilton was named honorable mention all-conference. Hamilton made an immediate impact for the Norse at point guard during her freshman campaign. Hamilton was the third leading scorer with 252 points, third leading rebounder with 140 and led the team with 95 assists.
Luther finished the 2016-17 season with an overall record of 17-10. The Norse finished second in the Iowa Conference with a mark of 12-4 and advanced to the Iowa Conference Tournament championship game for a third year in a row.
