Luther placed 10th of 17 teams at the Cornell College Matman Invitational. Augsburg College won the team title with 133 points. UW-Platteville was second with 106.5, while Stevens Institute of Technology (SIT) was third with 98.
Four Norse placed led by Connor Murphy (125) who finished fourth with a record of 3-2. Murphy won three matches before being eliminated from the championship bracket by Yoseph Borai of SIT (5-4) in the semifinals. Murphy was then defeated by Victor Gilva of Augsburg 10-1 in the third place match.
One week from today, Luther travels to Loras College for the Iowa Conference Duals. Competition will take place at the Athletic and Wellness Center. Luther will open against Nebraska Wesleyan University at 9:00 a.m. At 10:15 a.m., the Norse face No. 7 Coe College. Immediately following, the Norse take on host No. 5 Loras at 11:30 a.m. Luther finishes with a match against Simpson College at 12:45 p.m.
