No. 16 Luther rolled to its fourth consecutive Iowa Conference victory defeating No. 30 University of Dubuque 30-9 tonight in front of the home crowd.
The Norse picked up bonus points at 133 by Evan Obert, 141 by Drew Van Anrooy, 149 by Dakota Gray and 184 by Jayden DeVilbiss.
Obert, ranked No. 5 in the nation, posted a 12-0 major decision over Nicolas Rivera. Van Androoy making his first appearance since suffering an injury before the Christmas break, defeated Stephen Rosenburg 15-1. Gray followed these two matches with a fall (1:58) over nationally ranked No. 9 Brian Travis. No. 3 DeVilbiss made quick work of Michael Ladaika posting a fall in 57 seconds.
Blake Letney (165) and Conner Herman (285) also helped the cause with decisions. Letney defeated Manny Mendoza 4-2, while Herman defeated Nathan Christion 7-0.
The win increased Luther's Iowa Conference record to 4-1, 10-6 overall. Dubuque fell to 2-2 in league action, 7-10 overall.
Luther's next match will be at Central College on Feb. 5. Start time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
