Luther Picked Fifth in A-R-C Preseason Coahes' Poll

The 2019 American Rivers Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll has been released and Luther has been picked to finish fifth in the league standings.

Head Coach Dave Mitchell, who begins his 23rd year, returns 10 letter winners that includes seven starters from last year's squad that finished fifth last year with a record of 4-4, 10-8 overall.

Top returners for the Norse include Ira Kuehn ( 184 - DeWitt, Iowa/Central DeWitt), Tyler DiFiore (133 - Wellington, Fla.), Michael Petersen (149 - Crystal Lake, Ill.), Teagen Miller (157 - Mauston, Wis.) and Keenan Feldpausch (285 - Eldridge, Iowa/North Scott).

Kuehn was one win away from qualifying for the NCAA III National Tournament a year ago. He finished fourth at the NCAA III Lower Midwest Regional and finished the year with a record of 25-10. DiFiore was named Luther's Most Valuable Freshman. He finished his first year in a Norse uniform with a mark of 22-19. Petersen transferred to Luther from Case Western Reserve University and was 23-11. Teagen Miller was 17-12 and finished seventh at the regional. Feldpausch spent most of the year recovering from and injury and finished with a mark of 14-3.

Luther begins its season hosting the Luther Open on Saturday, Nov. 16
