Luther's Distance Medley Relay Earns All-Central Region Honors

All-Region honorees for the 2020 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field season were announced Monday, March 9 by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the regular season.

To earn All-Region honors, an athlete must be one of the top-5 individuals in their event in their respective region. In addition, each member of a region’s top-3 relay team was selected for the distinction.

A total of 1595 athletes from 200 different institutions earned All-Region honors nationwide with 790 honors going to the women and an additional 805 to the men.

The Luther College Distance Medley Relay foursome of Collin Kern (Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy), Vinnie Joseph (Nassau, Bahamas), Andrew Millán (Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata) and Ian Kelly (Littleton, Colo./Heritage).

This foursome posted their fastest time of the indoor season at the Wartburg College NCAA Qualifying Meet held March 6-7. They ran a time of 10:10.70 that ranks third on Luther's all-time list.
