Dan Iselin Finishes 11th in Mile Prelims at the 2019 NCAA III Indoor Track & Field Championships

Dan Iselin, a 2017 graduate of Platteville High School (WI), placed 11th during the prelims of the Mile at the 2019 NCAA III National Indoor Championships. Iselin posted a time of 4:14.07, a new school record, and fell one place shy of qualifying for Saturday's final.

Saturday's final is schedule to take place at 3:15 p.m. EST. The top-8 finishers earn All-America honors.

The University of Massachusetts Boston is hosting the two-day championships March 8-9, at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center, Boston, Massachusetts.

This is the first time Iselin had qualified for the national indoor championships. He qualified with a time of 4:15.38 that he posted at the Wartburg College Qualifier held March 1-2. This time ranks second on Luther's all-time list.

He also became the first Luther athlete to qualify for the national indoor championships since Tricia Serres qualified in the Mile in 2016, and he is also the first men's athlete to qualify for the indoor championships since Dalen Dirth qualified in the Heptathlon in 2012.
