The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced the All-Region honorees for the 2016 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season.
To be named all-Region, an athlete must either be ranked in the top-5 of an individual event in the region according to final TFRRS data or be part of a top-3 relay team.
Senior Erik Queoff and freshman Jackson Reemtsma were named to the all-Central Region team. Queoff was the Iowa Conference champion in the pole vault this spring with a winning height of 14-3 1/4. Reemtsma was named all-region in both the 400 meters and 110 hurdles. He captured the Iowa Conference title in the 400 clocked at 48.15 and also earned all-conference honors in the 110 hurdles with a third place finish time of 14.67.
On the women's side, seniors Tricia Serres and Jackie Hoyme were also named to the All-Central Region team. Serres qualified in both the 1500 and 5000, while Hoyme qualified in the Discus. Both will be competing at the NCAA III National Track and Field Championships that will be hosted by Wartburg College May 26-28.
