James Ayer Named Iowa Conference Performer of the Week

The Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) has announced that James Ayer was named the league's performer of the week for the week ending Sunday, March 30.

Ayer, a senior, went 8-0 on Luther's spring trip to Orlando as the Norse improved to 16-4 overall. He posted straight set singles wins over Hamline's Tyler Antil (6-1, 6-4) at No. 3 singles and Carthage's Tony Connell (6-4, 6-4), Elmhurst's Quinn Jennings (6-4, 6-4) and Wisconsin-Oshkosh's Jason Alexander (6-0, 7-5) at No. 5 singles. Ayer posted wins over Carthage, Elmhurst and Wisconsin-Oshkosh at No. 2 doubles with Kyle Appel and another against SUNY-Purchase with Aaron Ford.
