Luther completed its first weekend of competition at Nebraska Wesleyan University. This was the second dual meet against the Prairie Wolves in as many days. NWU defeated Luther by a final of 141-99.
E J Kohner won both the 100 freestyle (49.93) and the 50 freestyle (:22.71). He won the 100 freestyle by nearly two seconds and the 50 freestyle by 0.13 seconds. Jackson Gergan touched the wall first in the 50 breaststroke (:29.09) and the 100 breaststroke (1:03.77). He finished ahead of teammate Landon Albro who was second in both events. Albro also placed second in the 100 IM (1:02.24). A second place finish was also recorded by Matt Benson in the 500 freestyle (5:12.46) and Kyle Anderson in the 100 butterfly (:58.66).
The foursome of Matt Benson, Isaac Christopherson, Gergan and Kohner completed the afternoon with a first place finish in the 400 freestyle relay (3:23.39).
Luther's next competition will be on Oct. 20, when it will compete at the University of St. Thomas Relays. Start time is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
