No. 9 Luther moved into third place in the American Rivers Conference standings after posting a 6-0 road victory over Buena Vista University. The Norse dominated this match out shooting the Beavers 23-3 and placed 14 shots on goal.
In the second frame, Joao Pedruzzi (2) and Pedro Paggi (1) completed the scoring barage.
The victory secures a place for the Norse in the 2019 A-R-C Tournament. Luther has qualified for every conference tournament dating back to 1996, a string of 24 years.
The win gives Luther a league record of 5-2, 13-3-1. Buena Vista fell to 0-7 in conference action, 1-13-3 overall.
On Tuesday, Oct. 29, Luther wraps up the regular season schedule hosting Wartburg College at 7:30 p.m.
Following Saturday's action, Loras College (6-2) sits atop the league standings with 18 points. A team receives three points for a win and one point for a tie. The Duhawks are done with their A-R-C schedule. Central (5-1-1) is in second place with 16 points and finishes with Buena Vista in Pella on Oct. 29. A win and the Dutch will claim the regular season title with 19 points. Luther (5-2) is in third place with 15 points. A win over Wartburg and the Norse will finish in a tie for second with Loras with 18 points and will be the No. 2 seed for the conference tournament because the Norse defeated the Duhawks during the regular season.
