No. 9 Luther wrapped up its non-conference schedule with an impressive 3-0 victory over St. Olaf College this afternoon in Northfield, Minn. The win gives Luther an overall record of 12-3-1 that includes a mark of 8-1-1 against non-conference opponents.
Luther dominated this match out shooting St. Olaf 17-8. The Norse placed eight shots on goal, while the Oles had two on goal, that were both stopped by goalkeeper Carson Davenport.
Joao Pedruzzi scored the game winner at 33:44 assisted by Marcos Villa (5). Pedruzzi's goal was the first of his career.
In the second half, Ben Keller score his 11th goal of the year at 49:33 assisted by Steven Johnson (2). Ben Sizelove added an insurance goal at 77:09, his third of the year, assisted by Will Overberg (6).
The win was the third in a row for the Norse and sixth in the last seven matches. During this stretch Luther has posted five shutouts, including the last three matches in a row.
The Norse will travel to Buena Vista University on Saturday, Oct. 26. This American Rivers Conference match will begin at 4:30 p.m.
