Luther moved into a tie for third place with Simpson College in the American Rivers Conference standings thanks to a 4-0 victory over Coe College tonight in Decorah.
The Norse dominated all aspects of this match. The Kohawks did not record a shot, while the Norse tallied 23 and placed 10 inside the frame. Luther scored twice in both halves.
Aidan O'Driscoll (5) scored the game winner on a direct kick at 26:52. Rafael Broseghini (4) stole a pass and attacked the Kohawk net, driving a shot into the lower right corner at 31:39, giving the Norse a 2-0 advantage.
In the second half, Teo Jube scored his second and third goals of the year, at 79:06 and 83:06. His first goal was assisted by Joshua Donkor (1) and Marcos Vila (1). Logan Morrison (1) assisted on his second goal.
The victory gives Luther and A-R-C record of 4-1-1, 12-3-1 overall. Coe fell to 0-6 in league play, 0-12-1 overall.
Saturday Luther travels to league leading Central College (5-1). The Dutch are tied atop the standings with the Duhawks of Loras College. Start time in Pella is slated for 3:00 p.m.
