Luther did all of its damage in the final 10 minutes of play and defeated Simpson College 2-1 tonight.
Simpson's Baraka Ellie gave the Storm and early 1-0 lead scoring his fourth goal of the season at 23:41.
In the second half, Luther put constant pressure on the Simpson end of the field, out shooting the Storm 12-3. Ben Keller then produced his sixth and seventh goals of the season at 80:35 and 84:54 that secured the come-from-behind victory. Aidan O'Driscoll (2) assisted on the first goal and Andrew Avram (4) assisted on the game winner. Keller's game winner was his fourth of the season.
Carson Davenport went the distance in front of the nets and was credited with two saves while recording his sixth win of the year against three losses.
The victory gives Luther an American Rivers Conference record of 3-1, 10-3 overall. Simpson slipped to 3-1-1 in league play, 8-4-2 overall.
Luther travels to Wartburg College (4-1) this Saturday. Start time in Waverly is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
