United Soccer Coaches announced the association’s NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s All-America Teams on Thursday, Dec. 5, on the eve of the 2019 NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Soccer Championship semifinals in Greensboro, N.C.
This year’s All-Americans will be formally acknowledged for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony and Reception on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020 at the Baltimore Convention Center in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
Luther College senior forward Ben Keller (Vadnais Heights, Minn./White Bear Lake) was name a second-team All-American. With this honor, Keller becomes the fifth player in Luther history to be named an All-American, all under the leadership of Head Coach Chris Garcia-Prats.
Keller completed a stellar career for the Norse producing 16 goals and 13 assists for 45 points during the 2019 campaign. He helped lead Luther to a second consecutive appearance in the Elite 8 of the NCAA III National Tournament and a final record of 17-5-3.
Earlier this year, he was named a first-team American Rivers Conference all-conference performer, becoming the second player in Luther history to be named first-team three times. He was also named first-team all-North Region for the first time.
He completed his career making 90 appearances that included 78 starts. He tallied 43 goals that ranks sixth on Luther's all-time list. His 31 career assists and 117 career points ranks tied for sixth for both categories all-time.
