Luther Traveling to North Park University for NCAA III Men's Soccer Tournament - Round of 16/Elite 8 - Nov. 22-23

After posting wins over Principia College (5-1) and UW-Superior (1-1 2OT/ Luther advances 4-1 on PKs) in the first two rounds of the NCAA III Men's Soccer National Tournament at home this past weekend, the Luther College soccer team will be traveling to Chicago, Ill., for the Round of 16.

North Park University will be hosting the Round of 16 and Elite 8 matches Friday and Saturday, Nov. Nov. 22-23.

On Friday, Luther (17-4-2) will face Ohio Wesleyan (15-4-3) at 1:00 p.m. North Park (16-4-2) will face Calvin College (21-1-1) at 3:30 p.m. (Central Times)

The winners will advance to the Elite 8 match that will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23.

The winner of Saturday’s match will qualify for the Division III Soccer Championship that will be held Dec. 6-7 at UNC-Greensboro Soccer Stadium, Greensboro, N.C.

Luther is making its tenth appearance in the national tournament, the fifth under the leadership of Head Coach Chris Garcia-Prats. The Norse have advanced to the Round of 16 for the second consecutive year and fifth time in school history.
