Luther Ranked No. 8 in Final United Soccer Coaches DIII National Poll

The final NCAA Division III National Poll has been released by the United Soccer Coaches and Luther College is ranked No. 8. The Norse were ranked in the top-25 nine of 10 weeks this year.

Luther finished the year with an overall record of 19-4-1. The Norse advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA III National Tournament before being eliminated by the University of Chicago 1-0 in overtime.

Luther qualified for the national tournament for the ninth time after capturing the title of the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Tournament, defeating regular season champions Loras College 2-1.

Head Coach Chris Garcia-Prats (137-66-23), who just completed his 11th season, and his staff were named the A-R-C Coaching Staff of the Year and the North Region Coaching Staff of the Year.

Postseason honors were also presented to seven players that were named all-conference, including the Offensive MVP and Defensive MVP ; four were named all-North Region; and senior midfielder Aidan O'Driscoll was named a third-team All-American.
