Andrew Peter 2013 Iowa Conference MVP

Andrew Peter, a 2010 graduate of Decorah High School, was named the Iowa Conference Golfer of the Year, after capturing the individual title of the 2013 Iowa Conference Championship.

Peter, who entered the final round with a one-stroke lead, birdied two holes on each nine en route to a bogey-free 4-under 68. The final round was played at Finkbine Golf Course, Iowa City. Peter finished with a 72-hole total of (80-73-72-68) 293 to capture medalist honors by three strokes over Central's Justin Livingston (296). Peter is the first Norse IIAC Men's Golf MVP since Scott Theriault in 2000.

Also standing on the medal stand was junior Tobias Kohl. Kohl joined an elite group of former Luther golfers to earn all-conference honors for a third time. Kohl finished in a three-way tie for sixth with a 72-hole total of 306.

As a team, Luther finished second carding a 1243. Central was first at 1215 and Wartburg was third at 1253.

Peter is the son of Tim and Sandra Peter of Decoarh, Iowa.
