The Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) has announced that senior quarterback Brady Letney has been named the Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Nov. 12.
Letney helped lead the Norse to their first six-win season since 2005, scoring three touchdowns during Luther's 35-21 road victory over Loras College on Saturday, Nov. 11. Letney scored on runs of two, one and 22 yards, all in the first half. He also completed a career high 15 passes for 162 yards and one touchdown. He led a Norse rushing attack that tallied 357 yards, with 138 yards on 28 carries.
He finished the 2017 campaign with 602 rushing yards and a team best 13 touchdowns. His 711 yards passing was a single year career high. With his three rushing touchdowns in the Loras contest, Letney finished his career with 30 career touchdowns, that ranks tied for fifth on Luther's all-time list.
Luther completed the season with an overall record of 6-4, 5-3 in the Iowa Conference.
