Wartburg College Hosts NCAA III Central Regional - Saturday, Nov. 16

The 2019 NCAA III Central Regional Cross Country Championships will be hosted by Wartburg College on Saturday, Nov. 16. The race will be held at The Max Championship Cross Country Course is located on the NW corner of campus. The top-35 place finishers will earn all-region honors.

The men's race will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by the women's race at Noon.

The Central Regional results will be provided by Wayzata Results - Live Stats 

Information on parking, campus map, course map, venue map can be found on the Central Regional Website. No DOGS or other PETS are allowed at the meet, including anywhere on the cross country course or inside the Rec Center. Leave all pets at home or in your vehicle.

The Central Regional is one of eight qualifying races for the NCAA III National Cross Country Championships that will take place Nov. 23 at the E.P. Tom Sawyer Park - Louisville, Kentucky.

The total field of teams at the national finale will consist of the top-two teams at each of the eight regional championships, plus 16 at-large selections, that will be announced on Sunday, Nov. 17.

Also, the top-seven individuals at each region, who are not a member of a qualifying team, will be selected to compete at the national finale.

The men's cross country team has made 28 appearances at the national championships, the last in 2014. Twenty-nine Norse runners have earned 47 all-region honors, while 13 runners have gone on two earn 21 All-American honors.
