Luther wrapped up its trip to the Naples Shootout with a wire-to-wire 89-70 victory over Connecticut College. The win was the fourth in a row for the Norse who improved to 6-4 overall.

For the second consecutive game the Norse shot well behind the three-point line, connecting on 13-of-30 attempts for 43%. The Norse bench also outscored the Camels 22-12. Luther held Connecticut to 39% and forced the Camels to turn the ball over 20 times.

Aaron Blumberg and Garrian Wade provided the spark off the bench. Both recorded career highs with Blumberg leading the team with 18 points and Wade chipping in 10. 

Rahul Bagga, Jared Nicolaisen and James Kappus also tallied double digits. Bagga had 15, while Nicolaisen and Kappus provided 13 and 10 respectively. Nicolaisen crept a bit closer to his 1,000th career point and will enter the new year needing 70 to reach this milestone.

Luther will return to American Rivers Conference action with two roads games this week. The Norse travel to Coe College on Wednesday, Jan. 2, for an 8:00 p.m. contest, and on Saturday, Jan. 5, it will be at Buena Vista University for a 2:00 p.m. start.
