The Norse wrapped up their weekend series with Central College this afternoon defeating the Dutch 12-5. The win was the fourth in a row for the Norse and second sweep over an American Rivers Conference opponent this year.
Both squads sent multiple pitchers to the mound. Luther starter Kyle Bode (4-3) picked up the win while allowing eight hits, four runs, two walks, and striking out seven in six innings of work. Nate Loch took over with two outs in the seventh and did not allow a hit and struck out two, while recording his first save of the year.

Owen Vander Linden drove in two runs and scored twice going 2-for-4. Vander Linden in now tied for the team lead with Luke Plunkett with 24 rbi for the year. Trent Athmann and Jake Halverson were both 2-for-4. Athmann scored twice and Halverson once and both were credited with an rbi. Kelby Johnson, Kyle Schnobrich and Derek McCready were also credited with an rbi. Johnson drove in his run with a triple in the sixth.
