The Norse started this weekend’s three-game series against the Loras College Duhawks in winning fashion as ace Joey Cardamon and a balanced offensive attack paved the way for a 5-1 victory for Luther.

McCready and Joe McKibben each drove in one run, while Owen Vander Linden had 2 rbi. The run-scoring was just as balanced as five different Norse crossed home plate.

Cardamon (3-2) gave up five hits, one unearned run, one walk, and recorded three strikeouts en route to the complete game win. Cardamon improved his ERA to 1.88.

Duhawk starter Sam Marhefke (2-3) bounced back from a slow start to throw six full innings and gave up three hits, four runs, four walks, and struck out three. Jake Oglesby drove in Dylan Pardoe to plate the Duhawks lone run.
