Jake Vogt Breaks His Own Single Season Stolen Base Record

This past weekend during Luther's three-game series at Nebraska Wesleyan University, senior Jake Vogt (Libertyville, Ill.) broke his own single season stolen base record of 18 set during the 2018 campaign. Vogt was credited with stealing third base in the sixth inning of Luther's 14-11 victory on Sunday afternoon, giving him 19 for the year.

He also moved into a tie for second all-time in this category with Chris Reynolds (2009-12) with 49 career stolen bases. James Cortez (1997-2000) holds the career record with 53.

Luther has eight games remaining on the regular season schedule. The Norse travel to Coe College for a double header on Tuesday, April 23; host Buena Vista University for a three-game series April 26-27; and finish the American Rivers Conference schedule at Simpson College May 3-4.
