Renae Hartl, Luther College Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, has named Alli Jenicke Director of Athletic Performance and assistant Legends Center Director. Jenicke will officially begin her duties at Luther on January 21. Jenicke replaces Jeff Jones, who resigned after accepting the position of head athletic performance director for football at Appalachian State University (NC).
A 2014 graduate of Kansas State University, Jenicke rejoins the Luther athletic department after serving as the director of athletic performance for baseball and assistant athletic performance coach for softball, cross country and football at Morehead State University (KY) since September of 2018.
Prior to her stint at Morehead State University, she served as the assistant director of athletic performance and Legends Center director for two years at Luther (2016-18).
“I am honored to be chosen to continue building the electric environment that Coach Jones created surrounding the weight room at Luther College,” commented Jenicke. “I’d like to thank Renae Hartl and President Carlson for the incredible opportunity. I can’t wait to get back to The Valley. Sail Norse!”
Prior to joining the Luther staff in 2016, she served as the head strength and conditioning coach at William Penn University (2015-16), while earning her master’s degree in Business Leadership. She also served as the strength and conditioning coach at Pella High School during this same time span.
“I believe we have one of the best athletic performance departments in all of NCAA Division III and Alli will continue on our success and build on it with her own flair.” stated Hartl. “The culture, the physical training, and the life-lessons our student-athletes at Luther College are obtaining in our weight room will continue to thrive and grow under Alli’s direction.”
