The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) has concluded its 2018-19 regular season calendar and Luther College finished tied for third in the league's All-Sports Championship Trophy Standings. Wartburg College won the all-sports trophy with 18 points, followed by Loras College with 15. Luther and Central College both finished with 13 points.
Each school's conference finish in each sport throughout the year is given a numerical worth by inverting the finish (i.e. first place is worth nine points, second place is worth eight points, third place is worth seven points, etc). In case of ties, the worth of all places involved are totaled and divided by the number of teams in that tie. Each school's finish in all sports is then totaled, and the school with the largest number of points is awarded the Elmer Hertel Men's Sports Championship Trophy for the men and the Marjorie Giles Women's Sports Championship Trophy for the women.
Note: The A-R-C does recognize conference championships and all-conference performers for both men's and women's swimming, and these championships are included in a schools overall conference championships historical total. Because these sports do not compete for an official league title, they are not included in the overall point total towards the all-sports trophies.
In the Elmer Hertel Men's All-Sports Trophy, Luther tallied 46.1 points and finished fifth behind Wartburg College with 63.5, Loras College with 55.6, Central College with 49.5 and Nebraska Wesleyan University with 48.
The Norse women finished second in the Marjorie Giles Women's All-Sports Trophy. Wartburg College won the trophy with 66.2 points and Luther posted 49.5 points.
