Flash Flooding Hits Decorah

Heavy rains that produced over 7.5 inches of rain, measured at the Decorah Airport, has caused flash flooding in the Decorah area. The Luther College athletic fields have taken a hit, and both the softball field and soccer game fields are under water. There is water in the outfield of the baseball field and the majority of the football practice fields are also covered. Facilities will begin pumping the water out the fields and into the swollen Upper Iowa River.
