Luther wrapped up its American Rivers Conference road schedule this afternoon at the University of Dubuque. Holding a 36-30 halftime lead, the Norse outscored the Spartans 31-17 in the third quarter, and rolled to an 83-67 victory.
Luther did the majority of its damage from outside knocking down 12 treys. The Norse also dominated the boards 50-34, with 23 coming on the offensive glass, that led to 17 second chance points. Luther's bench also outscored Dubuque's bench 41-21.
Madi Spence recorded a double-double collecting a game high 12 rebounds and produced 16 points. Spence was 7-of-11 from the field and 2-of-3 from the charity stripe. Her rebound total was one shy of her career high.
Jenna Uphoff came off the bench and led the team with 18 points. Uphoff made six three-pointers, one shy of tying the single game school record.
Dubuqe was led by Tabria Thomas who tallied a game high 22 points.
The win gives Luther an A-R-C record of 11-4, 13-9 overall. Dubuque fell to 3-11, 7-16.
Luther has one game remaining on its regular season schedule. That will take place on Saturday, Feb. 22 when the Norse will host the Kohawks of Coe College at 2:00 p.m.
