Luther rolled to a 79-41 victory over Central College tonight in the Regents Center. The Norse forced the Dutch to turn the ball over 37 times and held them to 32.6% shooting. Luther shot 44.1% and was 69.6% from the charity stripe.

Sarah Holtz led the Norse attack with a game high 21 points. Needing just four points to record her 1,000th career point, Holtz scored Luther's first two baskets and ended the night with a career total of 1,017. She becomes the 13th player in Luther history to join the 1,000 point club. 

Laura Hamilton recorded a double-double thanks to 15 points and 10 steals. This was the second consecutive game that she was credited with 10 picks.  She now has 257 that ranks second all-time behind Danielle Dunnwald who finished her career (2004-08) with 341.

Coranda Vickerman was the third player to reach double digits with 13. Madi Spence, who led all rebounders with 10, finished the night with eight points.

Luther (4-0) remains unbeaten in the American Rivers Conference and for the first time this season moved above the .500 mark with an overall record of 6-5. Central fell to 0-4 in league play, 8-5 overall.

Luther returns to action this Saturday, Jan. 11 when it will travel to Lincoln, Neb., to face Nebraska Wesleyan University. Tip-off at the Snyder Center till take place at 2:00 p.m.
