Nationally ranked No. 7 Nebraska Wesleyan University defeated Luther this afternoon 95-65. The Prairie Wolves led 44-32 at halftime and outscored the Norse 51-33 in the second stanza.
Three Prairie Wolves scored over 20 points, led by Clay Reimers who produced a double-double, with 25 points and 11 rebounds. Nate Schimonitz was credited with 23 and Nate Bahe had 21. The Prairie Wolves shot 55.9% from behind the three-point line, connecting on 19-of-34 attempts. Both Bahe and Reimers were a perfect 5-for-5 from distance.
Luther fell to 3-10 in the American Rivers Conference, 7-15 overall. NWU captured the A-R-C title this afternoon and is 13-0, 20-2.
Next week, Luther has road games at Central College on Wednesday, Feb. 12 and at the University of Dubuque on Saturday, Feb. 15.
