Keenan Feldpausch highlighted today's efforts for the Luther College wrestling team. There were no team scores kept at today's Luther Open.
Feldpausch claimed the title of the 285 division today. Feldpausch posted four wins including a 9-5 decision in the title match over Aaron Costello of the University of Iowa. He opened with a fall over Dylan Uzumecki of UW-Whitewater (3:52); defeated Jordan Baumler of Upper Iowa University (6-2) in the quarterfinals; then won by decision over Triston Westerlund of Upper Iowa University (6-3) in the semifinals.
Also placing for the Norse in the Elite Division was Tyler DiFiore (133) who finished fifth; Michael Petersen (149) placed seventh; Teagen Miller (157) placed seventh; Logan Kennedy (285) placed fourth.
In the Silver Division, Donovan Corn (197) was crowned the champion. He defeated Richie Hammonds from Rochester Community & Technical College by tie breaker (TB-1, 2-1). In the quarterfinals he defeated Shane Mathias of Simpson by major decision (14-3); then defeated Kole Kreinbring of Coe College by major decision (12-3) in the semifinals.
Also placing in the Silver Division was Cristian Chavez (125) placed seventh; Marcus Mandler (141) placed second; Michael Egan (149) placed third; Diego Cruz (157) placed seventh; Ben Houri (165) placed seventh; Skyler Shuman (174) placed eighth; Ethan Indseth (174) placed sixth;
One week from today, Luther will return to action at the Augsburg Open. Start time is scheduled for 9:00 a.m.
