Two nationally ranked teams and five of the top-10 ranked teams in the Central Region were in attendance today at the UW-La Crosse Jim Drews Invitational. The 8K course was run on Ettrick Golf Course, Ettrick, Wis. Twenty-one teams were in the field and 394 runners finished the race. 

Host UW-La Crosse, ranked No. 16 in the NCAA III, won the team title with 54 points. The Eagles were followed by No. 19 St. Olaf College with 75 and Iowa Central Community College with 105. Luther finished fourth with 133 and was the highest finishing team of the five teams that competed today from the American Rivers Conference.

Luther was led by Tom Altier who placed fifth overall with a time of 25:08. Awet Yohannes of Iowa Central won the race clocked at 24:41.2.

Completing the top-five for the Norse included Ian Kelly (26th (24pts) - 25:51), Dan Iselin (32nd (29 pts) - 25:56), Sam Schillinger (39th (35 pts) - 26:02) and Collin Kern (47th (41 pts) - 26:08).

Rounding out the top-seven was David Will (111th - 27:02) and Colin Weber (113th - 27:02.8).

Luther's next action will be a dual with UW-La Crosse. This dual will take place on Friday, Oct. 25 starting at 4:30 p.m.
