Luther won its fourth match in a row defeating St. Scholastica (MN) 7-2 this afternoon. This match was played at Lifetime Fitness Center, Bloomington, Minn.
The Norse jumped out to a 3-0 advantage after doubles and proceeded to win four of six matches in singles to secure the victory.
Three of Luther's four singles wins were straight set victories. Brian Murman at No. 4 (6-3, 6-3), Norwood at No. 5 (6-3, 6-0) and Sakchham Karki at No. 6 (6-0, 6-0) all won in straight sets. Schneider won in three sets at No. 1 (7-6, 2-6, 10-5).
The win gives Luther an overall record of 4-1. The Norse will return to action on Saturday, March 9 when they will travel to St. Peter, Minn., for matches against Macalester College and No. 12 Gustavus Adolphus.
