Luther leveled its America Rivers Conference (A-R-C) record to 1-1 tonight in the Regents Center. Thirteen different players scored as the Norse defeated the Spartans of the University of Dubuque by a final of 89-54.
The Norse jumped out to an 18-7 advantage after the first 10 minutes of play and were never challenged the rest of the way.
Three Norse tallied double digit point totals. Anna Edel and Sarah Holtz both scored a game high 13 points. Edel's point total was a career high. Coranda Vickerman came in off the bench and was credited with 12 points. Holtz and Brittney Sjulstad led the team in rebounds collecting eight and six respectively.
The win snapped a two-game losing streak for the Norse and gives them an overall record of 2-4. Dubuque lost its sixth game in a row and fell to 0-3 in the A-R-C, 1-6 overall.
Luther returns to action this Saturday, Dec. 8. The Norse will host the Falcons from UW-River Falls for a non-conference game that is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
