Luther lost a hard fought 72-69 decision to host UW-Stevens Point this afternoon. The Pointers trailed the Norse 28-26 at halftime, but out scored the Norse 46-41 in the final 20 minutes of action to secure the victory.

Madilyn Heinke and Sarah Holtz led the Norse scoring attack. Heinke led all scorers with 20 points. She was 10-of-13 from the field and also led the team with five rebounds. For her efforts she was named to the all-tournament team. Holtz added 17 points and was followed by Laura Hamilton with nine and Erin Saemrow with eight. 

Stevens Point had four players reach double figures. This group was led by Brook Geier with 15, Taylor Greenheck with 13, Kellan Schmidt with 12 and Amber Baehman with 10.

The loss gives Luther an overall record of 0-2. Stevens Point improved to 2-0.

Luther's next action will be at home when it will host Gustavus Adolphus College on Saturday, Nov. 24 at 2:00 p.m.
