Luther traveled to Minneapolis, Minn., for the Augsburg Auggie-Adidas Invitational today. No team scores were kept.
DiFiore placed sixth dropping a 12-6 decision to Noah Becker of St. John's Univeristy in the fifth place match. Valadez placed third posting a record of 3-1. He defeated Tracy Davis of Iowa Lakes 3-2 in the third place match. Keifer lost to Brandon Moen of Minnesota State-Makato 4-3 in the 184 title bout. Keifer finsihed the day with a record of 3-1 that included one tech fall. Kuehn placed fifth in this same weight class losing to Cole Hennen of Southwest Minnesota State 5-3 in the third place match. Weaver captured the consolation championship, defeating Ben Thompson of Southwest Minnesota State 3-2. Weaver finished the tournament with a record of 3-1 that included one fall. Kennedy won the fifth place match defeating Andre Bissainthe of Iowa Lakes by fall (6:16).
Andrew Schmidt (141) advanced to the consolation championship and lost by fall to Parker Huss of Rochester Community and Technical College. He finished the day with a record of 2-2.
In the Silver Division, Jian Joobeen (197) placed third; sixth place finishes were posted by Brier Babin (133) and Jake Nadea (141); Tanner Weaver (165) and Jordan Thompson (174) were both defeated in a consolation championship match.
