The men's tennis team wrapped up its fall schedule playing at the ITA Midwest Regional hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, Minn.
In singles competition, Grant Morton, Nate Parson and Cole Schneider all advanced to the round of 32 before be eliminated from the tournament. Morton was defeated by Rami Hemaiden of Coe (6-2, 7-6). Parson lost to Ryan Mitchell of UW-Whitewater in three sets (1-6, 6-4, 4-6). Schneider was defeated by Nick Aney of Gustavus in three sets (6-3, 3-6, 6-7).
In doubles, Parson and Schneider advanced to the quarterfinals before falling to Leo Vithoontien and Jordon O'Kelly of Carleton (8-6). The duo finished the tournament with a record of 3-1.
Morton and Brook Norwood advanced to the round of 16 before dropping an (8-4) match to Yassine Derbani and Nick Aney of Gustavus, who went on to finish as doubles tournament runner-ups.
Gustavus also hosted the Midwest Open Tournament. Jake Smith advanced to the finals of the singles tournament and was defeated in three sets by Luke Haddoff of Gustavus (7-5, 4-6, 5-7). Smith finished the tournament with a record of 5-1.
In doubles, Cam Long and Weill advanced to the 16 before dropping an (8-1) match to Senjem and Ezekiel Haugen of Gustavus.
