Day One Recap:
The only swimming event held tonight was the 800 freestyle relay. The foursome of Matt Benson, Isaac Christopherson, Soren Gloege Torp and EJ Kohner placed third posting a time of 7:08.63.
Day Two Recap:
After the second day of competition at the Liberal Arts Championships, Luther is in fifth place with 151 points. Nebraska Wesleyan University sits atop the point totals with 230, followed by Illinois Institute of Technology with 212 and host Coe College with 195.
E J Kohner was crowned the Liberal Arts Champion in the 50 freestyle. Kohner touched the wall in :21.31 finishing ahead of Nolan Reid of Nebraska Wesleyan University who was second at :21.86.
The 200 freestyle relay of Matt Benson, Jackson Gergen, Soren Gloege Torp and E J Kohner also reached the medal stand placing second with a time of 1:27.21.

Following today's action, Luther is in fifth place with 286 points. Nebraska Wesleyan leads the field with 463, followed by Illinois Tech with 369 and host Coe with 333, that complete the top three slots.
Peder Smith and Jackson Gergen reached the medal stand tonight, both placing third in their respective events. Smith was third in the 400 IM (4:13.05) and Gergen was third in the 100 breaststroke (59.88).

After four day of competition, Luther finished in fifth place at the 2019 Liberal Arts Championships. The Norse posted a team total of 403 points. Nebraska Wesleyan University won the team title with 655 points, while Illinois Tech (570) and host Coe College (520) completed the top three teams.
