Luther improved to 3-0 thanks to a 2-1 victory over visiting St. Olaf College tonight under the lights. The win was the fifth in a row over the Oles.
Ben Keller had a big night scoring his second and third goals of the season. Keller gave the Norse an early 1-0 lead in the 27th minute assisted by Victor Machado (1). Early in the second half, Keller scored what proved to be the game winner at 58:52, assisted by Rafael Broseghini (1).
St. Olaf's Jacob Stauffer wiped away the shutout, scoring off back-to-back passes from Sam Heupel and Keith Loukas at 70:22.
Luther out shot St. Olaf 19-5 and placed eight shots on goal. The Oles had just one shot on goal the entire evening.
Luther returns to action this Friday night, Sept. 7, when they will host Gustavus Adolphus College. Kick-off will take place at 7:30 p.m.
