For the first time in school history the Luther women have played the first three games of a season to draws. Tonight, the Norse hosted the Oles of St. Olaf College and after 110 minutes of action, the scored was tied 1-1.
Haley Sanchez gave the Norse a 1-0 advantage with her first goal of the season. Sanchez found the back of the Oles net at 54:47 assisted by Hanna Christopher (1).
With just over 15 minutes remaining in the match, St. Olaf's Claire Bash, hit a laser from 35-yards out that found the upper left corner of the Norse net to level the score. It was Bash's first goal of the season.
In the 20 minutes of extra play, St. Olaf had took three shots with one on goal, while Luther tallied three shots and none on goal.
Luther (0-0-3) returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 8, when it will host Macalester College at 2:00 p.m.
