Luther improved to 2-0 against Iowa Conference opponents, defeating Nebraska Wesleyan University tonight at home by a final of 157-56. The victory also leveled the Norse overall dual meet record to 2-2.
Pilar Dritz and Linnea Lee-Brown led the team with two individual first place finishes each. Dritz won the 200 freestyle (2:09.07) by nearly seven seconds, and the 200 backstroke (2:18.49) by six seconds. Lee-Brown dominated the 200 IM (2:22.37) touching the wall 14 seconds ahead of her nearest competitor. She also won the 100 freestyle (56.33).
Dritz also swam the third leg of Luther's 200 medley relay (2:08.54). She followed Sofie Wallock, Jessica Olson and was followed by Ellen Harvey who swam the anchor leg. The Norse won by six seconds.
Luther divers Megan Broadbent and Elizabeth Bonin were the only competitors in both one-meter and three-meter events tonight. Broadbent won both posting scores of 249.97 and 230.39 respectively. Bonin tallied point total of 216.06 and 217.95.
Luther returns to action tomorrow when it will host the Luther Spring Invitational. Diving begins at 10:30 a.m. and the swimming events begin at Noon.
