First place finishes by Jayne Cole in the 5000, the 4 x 400 relay team of Anna Lampe, Marea Holkesvik, Maggie Pierson and Tricia Serres and Leah Broderick in the Heptathlon, highlighted Luther's efforts at the Augustana Women's Invitational. Luther posted a team total of 108 points good for fifth place from the field of 10 teams.
Cole, was the first collegiate runner to cross the finish line clocked at 17:55.91. Luther assistant coach Emma Spoon won the race unattached with a time of 17:39.54. The 4 x 400 was clocked at 4:02.58 finishing ahead of St. Ambrose that posted a time of 4:03.85. Broderick tallied 4464 points in the Heptathlon finishing ahead of teammate Lampe with 4183. Broderick's point total ranks second all-time and Lampe's ranks ninth. Anna Burke's 3939 in this same event ranks tenth.
Top-three individual finishes were recorded by Serres, Kayla Uphoff and Jackie Hoyme. Serres placed second in the 800 (2:13.10), Uphoff was third in the 1500 (4:45.59) and Hoyme was third in the discus (142-2).
