Recap: Tricia Serres set a school record in the 1500. Serres and Taylor Berg from University of St. Thomas gave the fans and 200-plus athletes in attendance a great show as the two top runners in the country in this event needed a photo finish to decide the winner. Berg crossed the line in 4:32.68, while Serres was clocked at 4:32.86. Serres broke the old mark held by Johanna Olson of 4:36.25 set in 2001.
Maggie Pierson also posted a top-10 finish in this event finishing tenth with a time of 4:46.16.
Jayne Cole posted a Luther top-10 mark in the 5,000. Cole finished fifth from the field of 59 runners with a time of 17:47.93 that ranks eighth all-time.
Only the distance and mid-distance athletes competed at the Hamline University Invite. The remainder of the track team competed at the Cornell College Invite.
The women's and men's results from the Hamline Invite are separated. The men's results can be found on the men's track web page.
