Assessment Data

The Social Work Program gathers data on student outcomes annually for the purpose of evaluating and improving the program. The following report was prepared in August 2017 using data gathered during the spring semester 2017—covering the academic year 2016-2017. This work is a replication of the assessment prepared for the self-study that was submitted to the Council on Social Work Education in 2012 as part of the social work program reaccreditation process. It contains data from two instruments that were used to measure student performance on the ten competencies and forty-one practice behaviors that students learn in the program, as well as a third measure—a survey of the implicit curriculum.
