In honor of our class and in recognition that Luther College students need our support now more than ever, a group of classmates have created the Class of 1980 $50,000 Reunion Matching Challenge.
This challenge is offered by generous sponsors: Keith Christensen '80 and Dawn Deines-Christensen '82, David '80 and Wendy (Hillesland)† Coe ‘80, Scott Johnson '80 and Naomi Nowland '80, Christi Munson Nowland '80, Barbara (Perry) '80 and Tony Lutz, Julie Serra Lund '80 and Philip Lund, and Joe '80 and Greer Whitters.
Thanks to these challenge sponsors, your gift or pledge to the Luther Fund and/or the Class of 1980 endowed scholarship will be matched dollar-for-dollar.
The Luther Fund supports scholarships, financial aid, student organizations, and more. This year, the college is especially grateful for donations to the Luther Fund, which helped us to better respond to the pandemic, from purchasing plexiglass, hand sanitizer, and masks, to investing in new technology to help support remote learning. The Class of 1980 endowed scholarship supports students who have a demonstrated financial need. Meeting the needs of students is possible with your help.
To make your gift, simply go to givenow.luther.edu and type "1980 Match" in the comments.
If you have questions or need assistance, please contact Megan Buckingham, assistant director of reunion giving, at [email protected] or call 800-225-8664.
