The occasion was to launch the volume A Spectrum of Faith: Religions of the World in America's Heartland produced by the Drake Community Press, the Comparison Project, photographer Bob Blanchard, and the Des Moines Area Religious Council. The volume was co-authored by faculty and students of Drake University together with members of local religious communities; Professor Timothy Knepper edited the volume.
Members of the Luther Community also participated in this event. Rebecca Buse, Rebecka Green, and Brady Ross delivered papers entitled "Lunch with Ghada Gazil: Women Activists and Interfaith Dialogue," "Islamophobia and Interfaith Activism: Lessons from a Lutheran College in Iowa," and "Comparative Theology and Interfaith Dialogue," respectively. The picture shows our students with Eboo Patel, author of Acts of Faith. Chris Lovagnini (‘16) accompanied the students and Professors Gereon Kopf and Storm Bailey also participated in a panel on Multiple Belonging.
