Summer 2021 equipment checkouts are open! Due to staffing limitations equipment may not be available for checkout at all times, we apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding of our staff's need for summer vacation time away from the office.
During the summer reservations for equipment can be made in advance via the online reservation form.
We have quite a bit of outdoor equipment available for check out at NO COST, with a complete inventory list.
A minimum of 3 business days notice is required, but greater notice is recommended. Checkouts may not be available if staff are out of the office for work or vacation. We will do our best to meet your requests, however if you do not obtain a response to your request within 3 business days it indicates staff is out of the office and unable to accommodate your request.
Equipment can be checked out to current Luther students and Employees.
Pick up and drop off must be scheduled between 8:30 and 4:00 Monday through Thursday and 8:30 to 2:30 on Fridays, when staff is available.
There is a maximum checkout length of two weeks.
Our staff is unable to haul canoes or kayaks during the summer months.
There is a 24 hour cancellation notice or a $10 restocking fee will be charged to your Luther account (excluding inclement weather as determined by risk management policies).
Luther College Recreational Services assumes responsibility for reasonable maintenance and working condition of the checkout equipment.

All checked out equipment must be returned in its original rented condition: dry, neatly packed, undamaged, and complete.
Failure to return the equipment back on time and in its original condition will result in a $10/day/item charge to your account.
