Train at a high level in preparation of becoming All-Americans and National Champions.

Coaching Career

  • Started coaching at Luther in 1996
  • Seven top 6 finished at the NCAA Championships: 3rd in 2005, 3rd in 2004, 4th in 2007, 4th in 2006, 4th in 2001, 5th in 2003, and 6th in 2008
  • Seven Top 8 team finishes at the NWCA National Duals in the past twelve years: 3rd in 2006, 4th in 2005, 5th in 2007, 5th in 2003, 6th in 2008, 7th in 2004, 8th in 2002
  • Has coached 8 National Champions, 4 National Runner-Ups, 49 All-Americans and 35 Academic All-Americans
  • Has coached 2 NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship recipients and 4 first team CoSIDA Scholar All-Americans
  • Has coached 2 IIAC Male Scholar Athlete of the Year Award Recipients 

Wrestling Career

  • 1991 State High School Champion Royall High School, Wisconsin
  • UW-La Crosse 1993-1996
  • 3x All American Placing 3rd as Freshmen, 2nd Sophomore, NCAA Champion as Senior 34-0, overall record 114-12, with 58 falls.
  • Member of WIAC 1913-2013 All-Time Wrestling Team WIAC
  • Named to Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) all-time wrestling team in 2012

Off the Mat

Enjoys mountain biking, bow hunting, fishing, and boating. Hometown: Elroy, Wis.
