Colin Weber is a sophomore physics and math major from Rochester, MN. This is his 2nd year in the jazz orchestra. Colin’s favorite trumpeter is Clifford Brown, although his favorite record is John Coltrane’s A Love Supreme. When Colin’s not playing jazz, he's found somewhere in the Decorah area running training with Luther’s Cross Country and Track teams. Hello, my name is Christopher Lange-Pearson (CLP) and I am a junior music and philosophy double-major from Rochester, Minnesota who plays trombone in Jazz Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra. I am not quite sure why trombone is my instrument, as my father was once a professional cellist and both of my younger siblings started violin before I started trombone. However, what matters now is that I still love to play it. In addition to performing, I also arrange and compose music. I am not quite sure what I will do with my life after Luther. All that I know is that I want to make a lot of money and donate it to the arts; this is because I believe they are an important part of what it means to be human as well as an important reason why life is worth living.
