Luther College Piano Quartet

The four members of the Luther College Piano Quartet.

Since its founding in 2008, the Luther College Piano Quartet has been performing in exciting venues throughout the Midwest. Repertoire has included piano quartets by Mozart, Brahms, Fauré, Dvořák, Copland, Turina, and Suk; piano quintets (with guest violinists) by Dvořák and Brahms; as well as string trios by Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, and Joyce.

As faculty members at Luther College and established solo musicians, the members of this ensemble enjoy performing for the Luther community and across the region, including concerts in major venues in Chicago and the Twin Cities. The ensemble has especially enjoyed giving regular performances of Czech music at St. Wenceslaus Church in Spillville, Iowa, where Dvořák spent the summer of 1893.

Their debut CD, released in 2010, included iconic chamber works by Beethoven and Brahms. The recording also featured "Laudate eum in cordis" by Brooke Joyce, composer in residence at Luther College.
