Luther College is hosting a Christmas at Luther Visit Event on Thursday, Nov. 30, for high school seniors interested in participating in music at Luther. The admissions event culminates in the evening's "Christmas at Luther" performance. Held in the Center for Faith and Life, the musical celebration features Luther's six choirs, Luther Ringers and the Symphony Orchestra.
Registration is required for the Christmas at Luther Visit Event, available at www.visit.luther.edu. Deadline to register is Sunday, Nov. 26.
While the official admissions event begins at 1:15 p.m., families may choose to participate in morning and afternoon activities or only attend the concert. The morning activities include possibilities for music scholarship auditions, a meeting with an admissions counselor, a campus tour and lunch. At 1:15 p.m., there will be a concert preview presented by music faculty.
Optional afternoon activities include interactive instrumental and choral workshops with music faculty and current students. Students may also attend a study abroad session, a campus tour or a class visit while parents attend a financial aid information session.
A current student panel and music tour slideshow will be followed by dinner with Luther College President Paula Carlson. Prospective students and their families will attend the "Christmas at Luther" concert at 5:45 p.m.
For this particular visit day, there will not be on-campus overnight housing available to prospective students.
